To Live and Die in L.A. 1985
In this film I see the genesis of what would be the gritty action cop thriller of the late 80s, as well as the logical result of the cop movies of the 70s. Really it's passionate film with a lot of style, an incredible amount of action, and just a ton of fun. Hard hitting, it punches you relentlessly.
Not a ton of substance, very plot driven, leans heavily on revenge and not a lot on character. But it's interesting enough to keep attention.
The way it's shot is just incredible.

King of New York 1990
might be the worst movie I've seen this year.
The pacing is horrible, we see so little happen in this movie. The first scenes are just our main character driving all night to get back home, he doesn't say anything, he doesn't do anything. It just seems like a ploy to pad the runtime and make him look dark and mysterious. point is you didn't need a whole car drive introduction to do that.
The script really sucks. there's zero…Translated from by -

How do I event go about explaining this
Cinematography- is great. They must employ new lenses during the filming of this, lynch makes some of these familiar sets appear completely differently. It’s the new angles and lenses it has to be, and I’m here for it. It’s such a horrific and scary atmosphere that’s painted by this cinematography and I’m here for it. I can’t be… I shouldn’t be writing this shit I just wokr up.
The writing is nuts…Translated from by
