The mayor of Chowtown joined me, his constable, for a night at the cinema, to see a film unlike most others. Laughs were shared. Dollar bills thrown. Joy was had. From rags to riches to rags...
Kubrick + company created something truly beautiful here, with excellent (natural) lighting, camera placement and movement, and production design that served a story we have seen so many times but in a way so magnificent and full of grandeur. It was truly a pleasure to watch this film. Every frame truly IS a painting.
