Also I don’t think a mom has taken a worse emotional beating in a coming of age film.

We are talking about rock bottom expectations so to say that it was generally watchable was a huge achievement.  Also the only way I will watch these movies is, like tonight, it is a dinner and a movie situation with friends I haven’t caught up with in a while.

Watched as part of the Charles Theater’s revival series. This was my first time at one of these, and let me tell you this place was PACKED with weirdos. The vibe was set pretty early on with this one guy laughing out loud at the first semi humorous gag. I sat back and watched this ridiculous, silly and self aware movie and it was great to watch with THE PEOPLE.
