    March Around the World 2025 🌎 8. Argentina 🇦🇷

I've been slacking a bit on my challenge and haven't watched movies in a while so I wanted to watch something that I felt would be a safe choice for me to get me back into it, so what better than a "be gay do crimes" type of film but unfortunately while I was very into the aesthetic (70s stuff is one of my weaknesses), the story just felt kind of…

I saw a lot of reviews of people being disappointed because this wasn't really romantic and I kind of get it, but to me it's definitely less about evoking romance and more about two people who have trouble connecting and opening up to other people and finally feeling seen and understood that someone and I found this deeply relatable and touching, and the cinematography is really beautiful too.

    HORRORx52 2023 🩸 - 1. Released in 2023

First movie seen in the theater of 2023, and what a way to kick off the year!!

Honestly I had absolutely no idea what to expect before seeing this and I really liked it, it's an absolutely visceral fever-dream!!

Thja is giving me the type of biting critique of the rich that I had hoped to see from Triangle of Sadness - although at this point it's not even biting anymore, it's…

I quite liked X, but wow, I LOVED this one!!

Pearl is a really messed up character and I definitely don't agree with the murders and violence and everything but the alienation and dread over how little control over her life she has are still really heartbreaking and kind of relatable (this is my joker).

Mia Goth's performance is absolutely phenomenal.

I think this is now my #1 film of 2022 so far (I'll need to rewatch EEAAO though to see how I feel about it now though).
