World War II: From the Frontlines 2023
this is one of the worst ww2 docs in terms of historical narrative i’ve ever watched. most egregious part was after they wrapped up an incredibly cursory explanation of stalingrad (no talk of *why* germany got so fucked. only that something happened and the tide turned), they say “stalins red army has stopped the nazi tide. but as the conflict enters its fourth year, an even harder battle is beginning” (as a map pans away from russia towards france) motherfucker you’re talking about STALINGRAD! footage was cool though.
