  Yeah probably the best film of the past decade. A challenging look at hope and despair, 8 years out and it still has so much to say and if anything it’s becoming more and more relevant as time goes on. Excellently captures what an individual may view as the only natural response to what is happening around us, and why their own righteousness in this matter ultimately fails them. “Hope and love wins” is a good way to put it.

  well, well, well - so all along the key to making a better batman film wasn't just making it grittier, it was making it grittier and hornier (i think tim burton understood this with batman forever, but the idea was inexplicably lost in the sands of time, until now).

  where i want to start is where my mind has been the entire time since the credits rolled - gotham. no director has leveraged gotham in their movie as matt reeves…
