one of my favourite dance films - choreography of militarised violence. Scenes not set on the battle field or in the physical terrorising of colonised people and environments. Instead, dancing violence manifests in everyday domesticities, feelings of alienation, training routines and dancing out at night.

Disgust and Degustation. With heart-wrenching loss and a bbq'd cock on the menu, the innocent revenge for capitalist consumption and greed is captured in a week’s worth of dishes.Translated from by -
The Killing of a Sacred Deer 2017
Magic realism meets visual/audio horror. Lanthimos’ monotone-voice motif makes it hard to discern which of the characters is the most out of their mind. Perhaps they all are.
