320 million dollars..... for this? The Russo brothers miss.... again.
This isn't as bad as The Grey Man but it certainly isn't good. This at least looks pretty cool and the fact it's a alternate 90s set lands with me but guys - you can give some of that filthy lucre to writers and invest in the plot, the dialogue or some character development.
Netflix should have given $30m each to ten better film makers and made ten better films.

The Air Up There 1994
White savior joint. Kevin Bacon rolls into Africa, teaches the locals how to really play basketball, and somehow learns about life in the process. Predictable, cheesy, some charm. A kinda worse basketball Cool Runnings

The Matrix Resurrections 2021
Just awful.
Tedious self referential, trying to be clever nonsense. Closer to the two terrible sequels than the masterpiece original.
Terrible dialogue, silly nods and winks, poor attempts at humour and just downright boring. I took two pee breaks during this, I only really needed one.
A film that stumbles from weak beginning to awful Rage Against the Machine cover finale. Keanu could have made another John Wick film instead. A real struggle to get through.

Chopper 2000
The true (but perhaps embellished, perhaps completely bullshit) tales of Mark Brandon “Chopper” Read. An Insanely funny and occasionally very violent flick. Wonderfully written - i’m unsure how much is his own witty vernacular but if you’ve ever watched some of his Youtube stuff you might assume a lot.
The film follows Chopper, played brilliantly over several years, physiques and sets of ears by Eric Banana. Lots of great moments and some special characters.
This is highly amusing movie. When…
