I love this film, it should be a 10.
Stylistically and aesthetically perfect, a great lead character, sort-of memorable supporting characters, whimsical sound (good thing), pacing issues and only a slightly confusing story in this one.
Netflix auto-played the preview for this film, which was where Nausicaä gets the spores in the intro, and I was taken aback by the old-school sound and animation. I think it was because of how different it was to Spirited Away.

I watched the Japanese film w English sub and I cannot wait to rewatch with the English dub. I've heard that Robert Pattinson as the heron is a laugh.
Once again, "I'm so lost, it's absolutely mental...It's brilliant" or whatever my words for Spirited Away were. It's confusing and there is a lot of soft world building, if that is the correct term, similar to the rest of the Ghibli films I've seen (Spirited & Moving Castle).

The horror theme takes a little while to become apparent but I did actually like the slow start. I liked the feeling of 'what is actually going on' in this particular film, the mystery and intrigue was there in the right amounts throughout and it engaged my interest at least.
