Sean Baker you absolute master of your craft. Like The Florida Project, Baker does an amazing job creating a vibe that feels so so real. Absolutely love the dialogue in this film as that is the key to why Baker’s films always feel so real. Great use of static shots as well. Guy would be a great NBA coach cuz he knows when to just let his stars cook.

Classicsm is alive and well folks. The revolution will not be televised, but Baker will continue to bring it to indie film theaters (not) near you.

Eggers always brings the vibes man. Will continue to support this guy any chance I get. Saw this in 35 MM which def added to the vibe. Good thing I watched the first 20 min of the OG silent film to know exactly what was going on.

Petition to include Lily Rose Depp to the Ruffalo/Hanna/Rubinek/Partridge Overacting Award. Man does she really go for it here. At times, seems like too much, but I get that was the role. Guess…

Solid flick which I finally got around to watching full through. Never realized Segel wrote this until the credits rolled. Such a deep bench in this movie too. Bill Hader, Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, and Jack McBrayer all with great small supporting roles. Film also had the perfect Russell Brand role in Aldous Snow. Guy was born for that part.

A very real story that still manages to make me laugh at loud throughout. It has that Aptow feel (which…

Wow. Never did I ever think I would be able to watch a completely original American epic with an intermission in 2024. Bring back intermissions. Watching this movie for 4 hours was a way better Sunday than watching the Jets lose. It’s like every time I skip watching the jets to go see a movie, I automatically have a better Sunday. Why do I even continue watching football at this point.

Unreal performances from Brody and Guy Pearce here. Recommend everyone find 4 hours to dedicate to this modern masterpiece.
