"Hi Roy, this is Clem Fandango, can you hear me?"

This film is as visually impressive as it is frustrating. Behind the shiny (and admittedly remarkable) veneer of the 100 million dollar budget that produced this visual masterpiece, is a flimsy story with a bad script to match it.

James Gray said that he wished this film to be "the most realistic depiction of space travel that's been put in a movie". It's a tall order. With the likes of…

When a film fully exceeds your expectations. I’ve said this a lot of times, but DC has a different edge to Marvel.

Marvel mass produces films, ranging from adequate to stupidly good. But they’re never gonna top end-of-year lists, not really. Interesting feeling the excitement for Captain America: Civil War from that post-credit teaser as if this film isn't 10 years old. It'd be a shame if Marvel lost that spark, huh? 🤪

Banger film, it being a superhero movie is so secondary which is excellent. This is when Marvel really shines and can show its expertise as being great films by themselves.

Also Paul Rudd is 45 here and doing all this?? Christ this man is incredible.

My last rewatch of this film details my thoughts of Avengers: Age of Ultron to a T. Clint is essentially the best character of the lot, and let's ignore people that they are trying to give character development (Nat and Bruce 🤢) coz that aspect is so inconsequential. Let's ignore the regressive parts of Whedon's characterisation of Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Widow, and move aside the complete cringe comedy (re)write of characters like Thor and Ultron, Hawkeye shines…
