  My ultimate and abiding favorite movie. I first saw it in theaters (not sure exactly what day, Dec. 31, 2001 is a guess) and it remains my favorite film of all time, possibly by default and certainly on principle. Among the trilogy, this one has the widest range of tones, settings, and characterizations.
