This is so my movie hahaha. An American re Telling of Human Traffic. A touch cheesy but so good. Raves are the most fun you can have in this world, this movie really shows that.
Side note last night I went on a walk to listen to some music and one of the songs I put on the playlist was “we are connected” which plays in this film! Also a John selway track plays (I listened to him today!). There are millions of dance tracks so this is a huge serendipitous happening.

Man a gritty portrayal of H addiction in Berlin. Story was a bit patchy, could of benefited from some more moments outside of H to help me connect to the characters. Christian and Detlef do a great job acting.

A modern day body horror every bit as grotesque as “The Fly”or “The Thing”. A glorious take on loving or hating one’s self and how we place our own value in the hands and eyes of the relative strangers we come into contact with. Super overt style of film making, it made me think of Darren Aronofsky’s “Requiem for a Dream”. It was very clean and modern with a bunch super close ups and wide shots. Very engaging! Super great…

I'm a big fan of themes Ho explores in all the films I've seen by him. As overt as they are, it's always a great criticism of capitalism/eating other species/class/colonialism. I'm not the biggest fan of the tone of his movies. They just aren't for me a lot of the time, they can feel cartoonish or comic booky. Either way this was a good watch. Mark Ruffalo is really in his comedic villian era.
