Story felt like an extended version of a good short film idea. Representing the various abstract concepts with different animation styles was clever. Some beautiful visual moments.
The story just doesn't feel 100% complete. Maybe it's the high level concept of it all, but I found myself asking questions. "So the cat didn't die?", "Only one person has ever tried to not die?", "Didn't they say the mentors are meant to help…
