Black Bag 2025
Slinky, sinuous low key spy shenanigans, with another stacked cast and crackling performances, the more cerebral version of his earlier Haywire. Definitely couple goals, though if there’s new furnishings when you turn up for a dinner party, make sure you leave before dessert. Just good fun, alongside another excellent David Holmes score.

Baggy and disjointed in a lot of places, still worth a watch thanks to Pattinson (17th power), doing a lot of lifting in all his roles, plus tender and steely support from Naomie Ackie. Another canon of inscrutable yet endearing creatures of various sizes, it’s too long and too overwrought in places (looking at you Ruffalo and Collette), anything from BJH deserves to get at least one viewing, even the Host (sorry Dimitri).
