You get three stars if you simply make the film you set out to. Unfortunately, the film they wanted to make was hacky, cloying, predictable and terribly written. Everything else is fine. I laughed in moments, but more often was shaking my head. Ugh. Save your time.

This film is brilliant from the first frame. The inky black beyond the pounding of the wipers on the windshield. The white lines on the highway. The scene from the backseat in multiple shots - reminds me of Gun Crazy - which I'm very glad I just saw.
Misunderstandings. Twists, turns and that damn dialogue. So good. So perfect.
