  This film is the epitome of ‘simplicity is key’. It’s remarkable how much we’ve learnt to expect from film in the current, contemporary era - this kept me equally, if not more gripped than most all singing, all dancing VFX films being released today. I love how the film mocks anybody’s ‘certainty’ - for we can’t really be certain about much at all, and the most frustrating people in life are the stubborn ones that insist they are.

  This film is just incredible. If Ryan Gosling couldn’t get any fitter, then what about Ryan Gosling as an ahead-of-the-game investment banker? The sharp contemporary references and expository cuts take this film from gripping to epic. A biopic front runner, for sure.
