Child's Play 1988
I try to avoid certain popular horror movies like they feel more terrifying from a distance. But as I am trying to push my horror boundaries and watching more and more cult classics, I feel they are more of timeless horror with consistent and original storytelling.

After watching Exhuma felt the urge to revisit Wailing.
After rewatching the movie post-pandemic, it kind of gave me a new meaning with how panic, hoax, mistrust can do harm when faced with forces beyond our understanding. Wailing keeps you in a heavy air long after it ends. The heaviness that one feels when they see others in immense pain but can't really do anything. Malaikottai Vaaliban 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
One of the cringeist movie I have watched on a big screen. The trailer was edited for the movie or the movie was shot for the trailer? The movie opens with a Zack Snyder style slow motion action sequence that foreshadows the rest of the movie. A western inspired movie that wants to be funny. A movie that shy away from giving Mohanlal any close-up. Nor has confidence on Mohanlal's action performance that it relies heavily on cuts. It is as much fantasy driven as Bahubali, but unlike Bahubali it can't give you a clear conflict, nor can make its audience empathetic to the story.
