Captain America: Brave New World 2025
Not bad, but man it hurts knowing it could’ve been better. Mackie was good and the chemistry he had with Ramirez was great, and Harrison Ford was on point. Man, that really was Empire Strikes Back/Infinity War. Even though it ends on a cliffhanger, I just feel so satisfied with what we were given. Alien: Romulus 2024
We have finally gotten back to the roots of the franchise: survival horror and action. Cailee Spaeny was great in the lead role, but David Jonsson was the standout to me. I loved all the callbacks to the original films, but I liked that Fede Alvarez tried to also put his own stamp on it too. The visual effects, as well the practical effects, were top notch for the most part. However, there is one effect in particular that they use throughout which really turned me off. The Rogue One comparisons were pretty spot on, which isn’t a problem for me because I love that movie.
