Six criminals kidnap the daughter of a wealthy man and are told to hold her for 24 hours before pickup. Little do they know that the girl is actually a vampire. It's a super fun premise and a fun movie. There's plenty of gore and dark humor to be enjoyed. I liked the banter between the criminals as they tried to figure out what was going wrong. Alisha Weir did a great job as the titular character. The ending was the worst part for me. The tone of the movie takes a shift and it didn't really work for me.

To Catch a Killer follows a young Baltimore police officer who joins a seasoned FBI agent to try to track down a mass murderer. It's a decent watch with some fine performances from Shailene Woodley and Ben Mendelsohn. The murder scenes are pretty tense and do a good job of showing the chaos of the situation. In the third act the writing drops a bit in quality and I didn't really like how they wrote the killer. His motivations didn't really make sense to me.

In Dario Argento's first film, an American living in Italy with his girlfriend witnesses an attempted murder and gets drawn into solving it.

I liked the characters and the music in this a lot and it was pretty engaging to watch. I definitely prefer Argento's non-giallo films like Phenomena and Suspiria but this was still pretty good!

Phenomenal cast, amazing, haunting soundtrack and beautiful sets. What's not to love? Wasn't my favorite Defoe role but he was a joy to watch as always.
