A rather alluring portrayal of pathological loneliness and a bright, shining red flag in any man's top movies. It's been said to death, but you are completely missing the point if you idolize "God's lonely man" Travis Bickle. Hilariously horrifying movie if you've got experience on the other end of a guy like this "flirting" with you. Still, there's a reason it's so iconic. The Paul Schrader/Martin Scorsese pairing is potent--love the visual poetry Scorsese brings to Schrader's intense character study.

Too bad the part between the first ten minutes and the last sixty seconds really sucks. The rats are great but the humans and their "plot" don't really help the movie. Would love to see these rats work with a different cast.

There's a special place in my heart for the "movies without humans" genre. There's a magical vibe to this one. I feel calmed and renewed by it all, like the movie acts as a spell or a successful meditation. I'd like to fall asleep watching this movie.

Robert Pattinson is a king of acting. Mickey 17 retains all the grit you want from Bong Joon Ho while remaining quite funny. A film about how we treat others as well as how we treat ourselves. There's one particular dialogue I'll be thinking about for a long time.
