“Some feelings are deep” is absolutely right and I have a lot of them about this movie. The quietness throughout was soothing instead of unnerving. Its subtlety makes the more straightforward lines and scenes that much more of a gut punch. Every situation felt simultaneously uncomplicated yet difficult. I wonder how many other stories like this are lost to conventions of the past. I never thought the number 28 would make me cry. I’m very late to the party but happy to have watched this when I was good and ready.
