Really love the aesthetic, the acting, the cinematography, sound design, the nostalgic props! Feels a lot like Iwai-san's Love Letter (1995) which I loved.

Well, that ending made me feel very hollow... In a good way?
Understandably, this film's whole point is to show an unhealthy relationship and this felt right. After all, Tom learns that he needs to be honest with himself that relationships don't always work out and some people aren't just meant for each other. And that's okay. Sometimes that's the way life just goes.
Wow... I haven't watched a film that's made me feel so melancholy in quite a while.
Throughout the movie, it does feel quite slow-paced which certainly isn't for everyone in the 21st century but hey, we live in a very fast-paced moving world nowadays. Eventually, the pace grows on you, and if you sit back and take a breath of fresh air then you'll come to enjoy the sincerity and patience this film has.

What a film. I sat through the whole credits in awe. Personally, I find this to be the best way to close to say farewell to Evangelion. It feels like a "Part 2" to 3.0 given that it completes most of what I felt was missing from 3.0 (especially focus on the supporting characters).
