A story about making a dictionary that reminds me of j-dorama Jimi ni Sugoi. This movie used the theme of proofreading as the fifth step in publishing a compilation. Both depict the mundanity of attention to details and excessive hours of work when mishaps happen. It's just a simple telling of Majime and his career with a bit of romance, so people can find it interesting if they're curious about it.

Now that i think about it, I probably watched this raw before cos I only grasped what happened now, and have totally forgotten that Koizumi is here xD Her portrayal is amazing lol. Also, I didn't get the Kurosawa reference, maybe someday I'll start checking out his films.
This was a fun watch the second time (in good quality as well). Aoshima-Onda tandem still the best. The later part until the end credits added charm to it.
This movie was supposed to be sad given the dialogues. Its vibe at first had the potential to be on par with Happy Together (which is not happy at all), but eventually I didn't find myself feeling the pain for the characters. Their encounter happened so fast and the atmosphere was slightly dead air. Acting was good, but there was lack of chemistry between them, and something about the plot execution wasn't stretch well. 6/10
