The Family 2013
This is based on the screenplay that Chris was writing in the Sopranos. The story feels like a transgenerational mobster epic was condensed down to a single storyline about one guy and none of the different arcs were checked for anachronisms.

Coming to America 1988
Put off watching this one due to the impression left by the incessant Comedy Central commercials that highlighted the cheap gags. Finally broke down and watched it, and I've got to say this is one of the most racist, western chauvinistic films I've ever seen.
I struggled to decide if Darryl's dialogue or Eddie Murphy's matza-face was more offensive.
That being said, this is a period classic in the same way Leni Riefenstahl's Olympic film is.
