  12-year-old me was obsessed with this film when it first came out. Nearly three decades later, it still never gets old. There are so many reasons why this is one of the best action films of the 1990’s, but IMO Mark Mancina’s propulsive score is the secret weapon that pushes SPEED past the limit and up to another level.

  It Follows AKA In the Clamshell-verse of Madness is a modern horror classic that is still genuinely scary. Its timeless setting keeps you off kilter as you frantically search the background of every frame to see if IT might be walking towards you bringing imminent death. Carpenteresque in every way possible from cinematography to sound. A phenomenal score by Disasterpeace filled with pulsating synths takes the creeping dread to another level. The moment the tall man arrives is still one of the most unsettling jump scares in horror. Undoubtedly, one of the best horror films of the 2010’s.
