  i hated this

  i can't think of anything thoughtful that this film had to say... about anything... let alone war.

  just endlessly tragic for the sake of being so.

  every so often we see glimpses of beauty and hope in small things, like a warm bath or fireflies. but even the small beauty we see is twisted to communicate that everything you love or find joy in, will die.

  unbelievable

  i don't care that this is a ghibli film.

  there is no reason to suffer through it.
