Full Metal Jacket 1987
The first half had me shook. Even finding out where Two live crew got the sample for “me so horny” couldn’t set me at ease. The comic relief balanced with the dread keeps the film engaging and emphasizes the absurdity of war. I think the funny aspects make it end up feeling even heavier. Soundtrack was amazing.
