  I have so many feelings about this movie. The Beast argues that human life is about embracing emotional highs and lows, not escaping them. Pain, conflict, and yearning are part of the human condition.

  Gabrielle's relationship with Louis, though destined to be doomed, represents the complexity of human desire and the struggles inherent in meaningful connection. Yet, against all odds, she never gives up. Her final scream is a rejection of emotional suppression, and an expression of horror at realizing that she will never get through to Louis. His emotional death has sealed their fate. "He only makes love in his dreams."
