  Completely pointless. Such a smug, banal (literal) shitshow of a film. Östlund explores gender roles and class politics with the finesse of a teenager on Reddit. It drags on way too long and the attention of the audience is kept through pure shock humor and a smug sense of superiority.

  It’s just sooo brave of Ruben Östlund to make a movie that criticizes capitalism and consumerism while pointing out the hypocrisy and pitfalls of socialism and the breaking of the status quo.…

  Am I crazy? Is this not a definitive masterpiece? It is without a doubt the most beautiful film I have ever seen.
  I feel like I get it now. I’m now fully convinced that Malick is the greatest to ever do it, and he’s not even done yet.
  I’ve never seen anyone so perfectly translate the human experience to film like he does, it’s truly miraculous.
  At a loss for words so I’ll just stop.
