A story of enduring friendship disguised as romance anime. This film captures both despair and joy exceptionally and with no shortcuts. It puts into perspective the joy a group of friends can bring into your life, and was a great to watch with a gang of my friends to cry along with me.

I went in expecting something by the numbers, but each emotional beat of this movie felt truly heartfelt. On the way home I was already wishing for a sequal, its just that good. Go see for a beautifully told tale and one of the best movies of the year.
