Not at all what I was expecting. Very quirky funny weird. I recommend if you love Wes Anderson.
Saw it alone at my local indie theatre where i'm a member. It was a Wes Anderson inspired double-bill with Moonrise Kingdom and after the films were over i got my book signed by the author cuz i'm a fkn nerd. It was a phenomenal sunday afternoon.
An amazing character study!
Although there were many touching and special moments (and funny comments from him), it was a real-time doc that unfortunately didn't have any conflict/drama/driving narrative to carry us through. Sometimes life isn't dramatic. Just....lonely?
2nd round IMAX. This movie experience is unlike any other. The thrill and awe I felt even in a second viewing was unforgettable. I expect I will continue to watch and love this movie forever, even at home, on a laptop, etc.
