Conclave 2024
I didn’t expect to be so moved by the end of this film, I started to nod off half way through, and had to come back to it after a nap.
I even shed a single tear just before the end credits rolled.

The Brutalist 2024
I don’t know what to make of this film, it felt like it had something going for it, but by the end it kinda fell off for me.
The scale indeed feels massive and for the budget it’s an incredible feat in filmmaking and Brody deserved the Oscar.
I can see why Brady Corbet made zero dollars from this film when his main character gives up his fee in order to maintain his artistic vision.
Says something about the life of an artist, being raped by their patrons who take advantage of their struggle.
