Apparently violence is the answer
poorly paced, fire-breathing dragon is not fireproof?, cliche character development, corny melodrama, and LED wall VFX as far as the eye can see
Positive way of looking at it: soapy, action-y, easy to digest
If you like the new Star Wars live action movies then you’ll probably like this
Great subject, somewhat middling film. The shoehorned Napoleon analogy doesn’t work. While the subject (Galliano), is certainly subversive, the film lacks any sort of subversion that could otherwise make it memorable as a movie apart from the subject’s life.
Also the last shot makes zero sense
The secret to fucking hot women is to turn them into non-consenting infants. Good movies ask an artistic question and this movie asks “How do I fuck an infant and get away with it?”
Foodies, delight! If you spend your days scrolling the vast open seas of insta #foodporn, look no further than The Taste of Things. Unfortunately, its episodic plot as a slow-paced heartfelt romance is overshadowed by the real star of the show, authentic French cuisine of 1885. The phenomenal performances are thrown off by a tonal identity crisis caused by the cinematography. Deep, unique, and touching character relationships were found sparsely woven into beautiful, but awkwardly cut steadicam shots that felt more fitting for a music video than a romance feature. Overall, not a fan, but I can see why one would be.
