Oof. Pirates baseball season started a night early for me apparently. A big ole’ swing and a miss. The most unoriginal “original” movie you’ll ever see. Really, really disliked this.
P.S. For a movie about the greatest pop artist of all time… the actual songs have GOT to be better. Imagine Dragon-ass tunes.
This film absolutely SIZZLES for a delightful 133 straight minutes. Phew. Black Bag really thrives on the backs of both Soderberg's direction and its whip-smart script. The writing here is sly as hell, darkly funny, and yet always surprising. Not to mention every single performance is bare-minimum very good, with most rising well above that. Honestly? No notes.
P.S. The spy dinner parties go absolutely CRAZY. Out of pocket behavior from everyone tbh.
Can confirm this motion picture absolutely SLAPS… haven’t stopped thinking about it. Also best Batman score by a country mile

Holy fucking smokes. I haven’t been this blown away by a debut since Get Out. Eva Victor is a mega-super-duper star (actor, director, writer everything). The rare movie to bring me to tears emotionally and comedically. This is major shit right here.
P.S. I doubt any movie scene in 2025 tops the John Carroll Lynch scene in this film. God tier.
