oof this really depressed me, that 2002-2013 era is truly gone. i think this film aged really weirdly because from where we are standing now the family the film centers on are kind of that stereotypical hipster family that everyone hates on now, the scapegoat for many of america’s problems, which i highly doubt was the intention. i loved the texture of early scenes when the family lives in their original home which hit so hard in portraying a world…

The only genuinely meaningful takeaway I could pull from this was the idea that if you free yourself, you risk freeing your enemies.
