Miami Vice 2006
on the one hand collateral made me think "wow, jamie foxx of the classic hit from my early teens, slow jamz? what a renaissance man!" and this did not. on the other all the dv makes me want to watch inland empire and i haven't had the urge to watch any lynch since his passing, which has to count for something. basically i thought this would transcend genre conventions more than blackhat but it didn't. my final take is i like and respect mann but i don't have the requisite galaxy brain to love him. i'll still watch the insider
