The sum of the parts is more interesting than the whole when it comes to MadS. It's flashy and stylish, but that style tends to mask a lot of moments of wheel-spinning before it gets to its thing. Still, there are some moments that are fascinating or exciting or unique that make this worth a watch, even if the end result doesn't ignite.

Voice 2005
While the twist is predictable, this is still a satisfying and creepy ghost story that puts a finer point on the Whispering Corridors' series somewhat backwards views of homosexuality. It's a fascinating cultural insight, if not the most progressive narrative. And yet, despite some questionable ethos, Voice is a good twist on the high school ghosts tory established by earlier entries. Some of the imagery, like the elevator in a well of darkness, is affecting and there's a strong central performance from Ok-bin Kim. A fitting entry in the series.
