Barking Dogs Never Bite 2000
Just a fun goofy movie. Barking dog annoys local academia loser. Hijinks ensue.
Reminds me of Tarantino with multiple stories where we can't see the long term end and we're just following the characters in the moment. It doesn't take itself seriously though, and is very lighthearted examination of couple of days in the life of barely employed mid 20s kids in the neighborhood. Good hangout movie, can just tune in and you'll laugh with the music or the action or the story developments.
Moral of the story: go on a hike in the mountains!

I already heard this movie was good but nothing compares to really watching it. On the surface seems like a simple mystery where two detectives have to work out their differences to catch the killer. But then you get a slice of the provincial Korean countryside with all its local personalities and legends.
