The movie was standard Wan and the scene transitions were unintentionally pretty funny. You can see the twist coming from a mile away but the way it’s revealed and to the degree of who it is, was delivered in a pretty interesting and fun way. Honestly, the last 20 minutes are worth price of admission. Once it goes full anime in the prison cell and police precinct scene you can’t help but smile at what you’re seeing.

Not as good the original yea yea but this is an actual good remake, crazy right? I remember seeing this in theaters when I was like 16/17 and it was just so much fun. The imagery and practical effects (for the most) part do this wonders. Head and shoulders above almost every horror movie remake that’s come out in the last 15 years or so
