  Wonderfully animated. With Beagle writing the screenplay, it was refreshingly faithful to the book. I definitely feel like Schmendrick should’ve been a talking crow, although the recurring nod to the crow was good enough.

  As well done as a remake can be (aside from the lazy jump scare flashes). I found this movie to be quite faithful to the original. The color was a nice nod to the monochrome tinted style of the original. Overall very well done.
