  As a movie, this was an enjoyable romp and finish, but its condensed timeline, character changes, and other departures from the book weaken it as a conclusion to part 1. Rebecca Ferguson again stole the show, and I loved the costume design and vehicle design. All in all, the second half of Dune is the real challenge to overcome, and Villeneuve isn’t weird, horny, or galaxy brained enough to account for the wonders of the second half of the book.…
