Honestly a perfect movie and my fav Godzilla I’ve seen during this long running marathon of watching them all. Hedorah is terrifying and they don’t hold back what he does to the humans, like a gruesome shot of dead bodies floating in sludge. The way hedorah was set up in the plot and his effect on anything he comes in contact in has such a large impact. The human plot is great and engaging, but a huge positive is that…
I worked on this movie and did countless overtime, work on weekends, etc to please people who wouldn’t be able to tell you what my middle name is. This happens to every movie I work on so generally the plot gets spoiled and so does any potential enjoyment.
That being said, this made me so happy to live in LA and still actively pursue whatever childhood bullshit pipe dream I had. It hit a nerve that made me drool and clap like a seal at the image of the Hollywood sign.
Some of the sickest shit ever put on the big screen. Fuck it 5 stars, my ears are ringing and I wanna see it again ASAP.
