it's been a long long time since i've felt a movie was made for me like this. growing up on the subtle horror fantasy of labyrinth and dark crystal, having nightmares when i was 5 that later shaped my love of things like tetsuo and silent hill, the complexity of being an adult and knowing that your parents are just simply adults and not superheroes but remembering the pain of loving them anyway…
