  I liked this, but really had wanted to love it! Ralph Fiennes is perfection as Lawrence—obviously. Ultimately felt detached from the plot. But I did deal with an hour-long internet issue right at the final 20 min. Idk!

  Writing this review 20+ days after I watched. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. When’s the last time a movie felt both nostalgic and original, haunted you with its imagery and tone, threatened to flip your world upside down? 

  I had no idea about the filmmaker’s identity going in. I happened to watch this day before the pride parade and it colored my whole experience. I could write an essay but I’m going to say less and urge you to experience it for yourself. For the soundtrack alone!!!
