The Shining 1980
Anyone who knows me knows I am a horror movie hater through and through. But I would not put this film under that umbrella. I’d call it a psychological thriller with a little horror thrown in for good measure. The camera work, sliding, pushing, pulling, pov and use of mirrors and lights to enhance it was astounding.
Jack Nicholson you will ALWAYS be famous. An outstanding performance by all three major characters.

12 Angry Men 1957
An entire film taking place in one room yet never loses my attention. Some of these characters grind my gears which makes the film all the more frustrating . The fate of an abused, poor, neglected, teen rests in the hands of 12 sweaty white men. Heavy on the punchy dialogue and I ate it up.
