Probably my favorite Wes Anderson film I’ve seen so far. It was really close to being four and a half stars for me but this felt a little more correct. It was perfectly weird in the typical Wes Anderson style but it also felt more emotional to me than his other movies. This thing defiantly impacted me though I loved it.
Wow what a movie. This isn’t the best film I’ve ever seen in terms of dialogue or story, rather I think it’s greatest strength is pulling you into the time period. I’m from Southern California and this thing portrays an extremely accurate look into what the area’s like. While I didn’t grow up in the 90s I still felt like I got a deeper understanding of that time. This film was really good and had some pretty heart wrenching moments. Thank you Jonah Hill.
I really enjoyed Good Will Hunting. To be honest I don’t find the actual plot of the movie all that compelling but the characters make up for it. The dialogue is fucking genius and the emotional peaks of this movie are completely crushing. The soundtrack by Danny Elfman is pretty basic in my opinion but of course the inclusion of five Elliott Smith songs really suit the movie. It was a fantastic movie, rest in peace Robin Williams.
