For how viscerally gross a lot of the imagery is, the film overall is shockingly boring and could have been at least 15 minutes shorter. The Robbins boy is super pretty though. And I have nothing bad to say about Kelly Marie Tran. She acted the HELL out of that role.

If- no, WHEN this wins an Oscar I will fucking lose it. Feels like it was written by someone who kind of skimmed Wikipedia pages about trans topics and Mexico while also believing the most insane conspiracy theories about both.
also the musical numbers are all terrible, but also somehow the best parts of the movie.
I’ll have to watch Annette at least 3 times to cleanse my palette after this.
