  Soulless, to say the least. RIP James Earl Jones but this movie was wildly unnecessary. I’d rather just have cool whimsical animations than CGI lions meant to look realistic. Zero level of whimsy here!

  The original songs were BAD!! Like, almost Emilia Perez-level of laughably bad. Lin-Manuel, my “brathaaa”, wtf is going on!?

  Respect where it’s due: the overtures in between the shitty original songs were incredible! I loved all the motifs from the original movie’s soundtrack & all of my rating go towards that.
