The Electric State 2025
Simon Stålenhag’s “The Electric State” is one of the most interesting pieces of independent sci-fi published in quite some time. Its visuals, really the core of the entire thing, are so atmospheric, at times grim and at others so dissonantly childish. The Russo Brothers’ very, very loosely adapted story of the same name cannot share any of those characteristics.
